Gold print and embossing
One of the most attractive effects on paper and cardboard. This type of technology provides the possibility to make certain images (usually logo or another element) raised or recessed in the paper structure and attributes largely to the luxury vision of an item. Gold printing is a technology which applies stamping the inscribed material with a template and uses for colour a thin metal foil (usually “gold”). Gold printing is applicable to many kinds of surfaces – paper, cardboard, plastic and leather. It is often combined with dry embossing. Dry embossing is a technology for writing or applying an image without ink, only by pressing a template prepared in advance on the material. Raised embossing is used when the material is sufficiently thin to be pressed between 2 templates (files, business cards, etc.), and the recessed – when it is possible to carve a print in the sufficiently thick material (notebooks).
